Robert S. Eisenberg personally generated over $100 million in international sales over the past 10-year period, during which the primary focus was the Meow Mix brand. Starting an international business career over 20 years ago, Mr. Eisenberg helped develop and launch Rocky Mountain Marshmallows and Caramel Popcorn, and has assisted many companies with their international business development during time at Food Export USA - Northeast.
More recently, Mr. Eisenberg was the company leader for the International and Puerto Rico Business at Big Heart Pet Brands, and worked with a portfolio of best-in-class brands/products including Meow Mix, 9-Lives, Alley Cat, Gravy Train, Kibbles ‘n Bits, Nature’s Recipe, MilkBone, Pup-Peroni, and Canine Carry Outs. Over the span of his career, Mr. Eisenberg has conducted business in over 45 countries worldwide, and has established long term relationships with importer distributors all over the world.
Mr. Eisenberg understands the importance of knowing the customer, competitive, and consumer landscapes, and has experience working with market research firms, merchandising groups, and advertising agencies. Mr. Eisenberg has trained and managed 4 different International Customer Service Support teams on export logistics, documentation, USDA-APHIS Veterninary Services, and customer interactions.
Mr. Eisenberg has a strong knowledge of US Government support programs for US manufacturers and can lead the learning and engagement process to take advantage of these services. These programs include the USDA Market Access Branded Program and the buyer's missions managed by key government promotion agencies.
Mr. Eisenberg graduated from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado-Boulder and immediately began working at the The Commercial Service of the International Trade Administration.
